Capability Development

Recognising the increasingly data-driven nature of electromagnetic spectrum operations, DEWC Services provides the rapid rollout of the ‘Data, Information, Knowledge, Wisdom’ pyramid through cutting-edge software engineering including intelligence data processing, test data analysis and complex modelling and simulation.

The next generation of mission systems demand the next generation of Intelligence Mission Data products and support capabilities. DEWC Services develops and implements bespoke and novel toolsets, structures and functionality to optimise the mission data available to the ADF and provide the in-service capability to analyse and exploit contemporary and emerging threats.

Supporting the ADF and Capability managers through collaboration with DSTG and broader Defence and Intelligence partners to conduct performance characterisation and evaluation of complete weapons systems, sub-systems and key components to ensure their operation is understood.
Acquisition and Implementation Support
DEWC Services provides high quality skills and experience to assist Defence to make informed decisions on acquisition and capability improvements for C4ISREW capabilities.

Due to security limitations and technology complexity, testing and evaluation throughout the entire capability life cycle of C4ISREW mission systems demands careful planning and implementation, with increasing use of modelling and simulation, including concepts such as Digital Twins. DEWC Services has unparalleled experience in supporting Defence in the test and evaluation of C4ISREW assets across all domains and within all contemporary mediums and modalities.

DEWC Services draws on its expert knowledge, skills and experience in various project management disciplines (PMBOK, Agile, Waterfall, Lean, etc), and its deep understanding of the domestic and international technology and manufacturing capabilities of Defence partners to support the acquisition and implementation of C4ISREW capabilities.
Operational Support
Since 2011, DEWC Services has provided specialised operational and technical support to Defence including the development and validation of countermeasures across the land, sea and air domains; development, verification and reprogramming support for electronic warfare libraries; and mentoring and participation in overseas trials.

The critical first step in improving the survivability of Defence assets is to establish own, allied and hostile electromagnetic warfare and intelligence mission data capabilities. DEWC Services has extensive experience supporting sovereign and allied efforts in intelligence data analysis through signals intelligence, test and analysis, and various forms of all-source methodologies.

DEWC Services supports the development of on-board and offboard Electronic Support reprogramming efforts to produce surveillance images that identify own or networked situational awareness and threats. Reprogramming efforts are enhanced through post-mission data analysis and electronic support program optimisation from empirical observations.

DEWC Services has an extensive background in supporting countermeasures development and validation activities across Defence, with notable ongoing support to ADF Airborne Countermeasures and Counter Improvised Explosive Device efforts. Our experience includes the use of military and civilian technologies, and includes active electronic countermeasures, passive electronic countermeasures and related tactics, training and procedures.
